Bin Information
Residents within the Campaspe Shire that opt-in to the green bin service are soon to receive an expanded collection service, which will include both garden and food waste, in addition to their general waste and recycling collections. The green bin will be renamed the 'food and garden waste bin' and remain a fortnightly collection along with the recycling bin (collected on alternate weeks to the green bin). The general waste bin will remain a weekly collection.
Campaspe’s expanded food and garden waste service will commence from 1 July 2019.
Material from the green bins will be collected by local collection contractor Veolia and transported to Biomix. Biomix is a state-of-the-art, technology-leading organics processing facility located in the Campaspe Shire near Stanhope.

Bin Information
Residents within the Strathbogie Shire now receive a full organics collection service (which includes both garden and food waste) in addition to their rubbish and recycling collections. The new green lidded organics bin is collected weekly and the general rubbish bin and recycling bins are collected fortnightly.
Once collected, the organic material will be transported to Western Composting Technology’s state of the art organics processing facility in Shepparton, where it is processed into compost, suitable for use on broad acre farms right down to backyard vegie patches.
To find out more about using your new service, watch Dr Karl explain it on here on YouTube.
